Monthly Curated Pottery Workshops and Clay Experiences at Local Venues!

Catoctin Creek Pottery offers monthly curated pottery workshops and clay experiences at local venues in the Frederick, Maryland area and the surrounding DMV.

These curated pottery workshops and clay experiences are hosted monthly at local venues throughout the DMV. Each session is inspired by the current season, holiday, or featured venue, giving every workshop a fresh, creative theme and unique experience.

Designed for both beginners and returning makers, these experiences offer a relaxed, welcoming environment where participants can explore hand-building and decorative pottery techniques while creating a functional, one-of-a-kind ceramic piece.

These experiences are open to individual registration, with attendance limited to a maximum of 15 participants per session to ensure a personalized and engaging experience. Any workshop or clay experience at a winery will include one free glass of wine.

What’s Included

  • Guided pottery instruction

  • All clay, tools, materials, and supplies

  • Decorative materials and glazes

  • Bisque firing, glaze firing, and sanding

  • Full setup and cleanup

Once all pieces have been completed, glazed, and fired, pickup details will be coordinated with participants.

  • Create a beautiful handcrafted wine bottle holder designed to bring warmth, style, and conversation to your table, countertop, or entertaining space. In this workshop, you’ll explore hand-building and decorative clay techniques while creating a functional ceramic piece perfect for displaying your favorite bottle of wine.
