I offer appointment-only pottery instruction, kiln firing services, and private workshops for individuals and small groups within the Baltimore/Washington/DC area.
Classes are held in a private home studio, with the address shared after booking to ensure a focused and personalized experience. I also provide off-site instruction at a partner studio.
Welcoming both beginners and experienced makers, our pottery classes and workshops are designed to support learning, creativity, and skill-building at every stage. We offer one-on-one and small-group sessions, as well as pottery experiences for couples, friends and family, and work teams—all within a calm, supportive environment that encourages connection and exploration.
We also create functional and sculptural ceramics made in small batches near Catoctin Creek.
At Catoctin Creek Pottery, every piece is made by hand, trimmed, glazed, and fired in our studio with care and intention, using traditional wheel-throwing or handbuilding techniques with durable stoneware clay. Our work is inspired by the colors, textures, and rhythms of the Catoctin region, creating pottery meant to be used, loved, and lived with.
Whether functional or sculptural, each piece is made intentionally, embracing the variation and character that come from working with clay by hand. We believe pottery should be used daily, not saved for special occasions.
