About Us
Our pottery story…
In the midst of the global pandemic, when the world seemed to be on pause, Norbert and Ivonne's paths unexpectedly crossed. Fate brought them together, and little did they know that their encounter would ignite a beautiful journey of love and creativity. They discovered an undeniable chemistry, not only with each other but with the art of pottery itself.
Their love for pottery evolved alongside their love for each other. They explored new techniques, experimented with glazes, and celebrated each other's artistic breakthroughs. Norbert and Ivonne's journey was more than just a tale of romance. It was a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the power of art to heal and bring people together.
As the world gradually reopened, Norbert and Ivonne stepped hand in hand, ready to embrace a future filled with love, creativity, and the infinite possibilities that their shared passion for pottery could bring. Their story serves as a reminder that even in the darkest of times, love and art can bloom, filling our lives with hope and beauty.
Norbert and Ivonne have taken many classes at community studios with wonderful local artists and workshops with Bill van Gilder and Simon Leach - both amazingly talented old-school potters and YouTube influencers. They have hit the road on adventures en route to Potters Tours on the East Coast in support of other talented potters. Those journeys have given them many great memories, friendships, and inspiration in their work.

Norbert
Norbert is a natural artist. From an early age he started writing children’s books using his imagination and now using his imagination on the pottery wheel to form clay into functional pottery. He also loves hand-building all types of decorative artwork for the home. Especially rewarding is working with children and allowing them to create their own masterpieces.

Ivonne
Ivonne has loved being creative early on in life and has worked with various mediums such as acrylic paints, caulks, slip casting, plaster, and clay. She first learned to love clay in high school, mostly hand-building, and later in college on the pottery wheel. She loves to transform clay into functional pieces and works of art for the home, and geeks out with glazes. She also enjoys working with children so they realize how wonderful it is to create.
